As my friends said, different cultures have different way of communication and behavior. This one is another problem that all of the international students face with it in new country. Here there is an example of this problem. In 2000, Jenny K reported that International student from Asia countries are often stereotyped as quiets, reserved and non-assertive. These cultures place a compulsion on harmony and respect for authorities. Therefore, many of them are disinclined to share their feeling or emotion, express their opinions or oppositions to anyone, especially to authority figures. Thus instead of emphasizing personal right and assertive communication, Asians tend to emphasize of patience, harmony, respect and deference. Oftentimes, international students struggle between the balance of acculturation and maintaining their own culture. The process of acculturation and adjustment can be stressful. The difference between two cultures can cause a student to experience significant intrapersonal and interpersonal problem and conflicts. Because of these different in culture sometimes students and lecturers have problem for communicate. This situation is same when people go to other country for study and it doesn't matter that which country they go just in different country according to the cultural of that country these effect will be increase or decrease.

I am a agree with that article... communication is most important for student or everyone that want to go abroad. Every student should use English as universal language for communicate with others. So it wouldn't be make miss communication. Although our culture are different we should commend with others.
It is totally true that Asians feel separated among other nationalities in some countries due to stereotypes. This situation is really hard, because they cannot communicate with others. In this case, they think that if they mention their ideas they will be laughed at or maybe no one cares. They prefer to stay far from debates or group works. This is the problem that stereotypes make. People of the host country have a background, commonly negative, about that specific nationality. So, they react to the people or students of that origin badly. Here, students feel separated and isolated. They know stereotypes are not true but because they cannot change all minds, they suffer from the situation.
As a matter of fact, this is obvious that Asians face more problems than other nationalities. They also have a lot of problems to communicate.Because their mother language is different. first of all, they are not native and most of their countries are not good at English. However, other nationalities like African and European do not have this problem.they use English better than Asians because their second language is more powerful.moreover, the pressure on Asian international students is more than other nationalities.the stereotypes have made people to be very cautious, this a reason that make some of the international students isolated and depressed. At last, they have to go back to their countries or hang up with people who are coming from their country.
